About Paramount Lofts

Paramount LoftsOn Saturday, September 19, 1925, W.A. Wieboldt and Company opened what was then known as its "Midwest Store" to great fanfare and celebration-and for good reason. Occupying a site that stretched from Adams to Monroe and Ashland to Ogden, the building was the largest Chicago department store outside of the Loop. It was certainly the finest, as well: an architectural triumph that became a point of great pride for what was then a tightly knit residential neighborhood. This rich history of this building is only fitting as today Paramount Lofts is now one of the hottest residence's in the city's hottest residential neighborhoods, Chicago's West Loop. The West Loop is home to businesses and residents who enjoy a dynamic and rapidly growing urban environment. The West Loop is one of the fastest growing neighborhoods in Chicago. It is home to thriving restaurants, shops, a burgeoning gallery district, and spacious residential lofts. The West Loop Neighborhood is bound by Ashland Avenue on the west, the Chicago River on the east, Grand Avenue on the north and the Eisenhower Expressway on the south.
